Recently, one of those priorities was addressing the potholes along Black Mountain Road. Not only do these repairs make our roads safer for drivers and bicyclists, but they also bring us one step closer to something our community loves deeply: the return of Fiesta de Los Peñasquitos to its longtime home.

Recently, I had the opportunity to visit Canyonside Equestrian Center alongside a few of my fellow Rancho Peñasquitos town council representatives. Our goal was simple to learn more about what they do, why they do it, and how deeply their work impacts our community. What we found was something truly special: a nonprofit rooted in compassion, healing, and a deep love for both people and horses, right here in Rancho Peñasquitos.
